The only holiday my mom’s side of the family takes off from work is Thanksgiving. Living far away from the majority of my family makes our tradition of reuniting annually integral for me. The journey to get there is also an opportunity to document the experience, which I gladly pursued. This is the most personal self-directed project I’ve undertaken so far; my hope for the viewer is that they can feel my love for my family bleeding through every shot, all taken from my point of view. I did not write the music but I did curate the mix in order to give the film an old-timey and yet exclusive feel. This is a demonstration of the skills I have been developing over the last few years as well as a showcase of the things that I love: family, music, and food, all of which are art.
