“Vanity of vanities! All is vanity.”
Other translations of Ecclesiastes use the word “meaningless”. Both words are derived from Hebrew word “Hevel.”
Everything in life is Hevel. It can exist around you in countless ways.
No matter how you interact with it, the only thing that you cannot do with smoke is grasp it. So then, if everything in life is like smoke: Don’t try to hold on to anything. You can’t. Instead, enjoy life by being entirely present and in the moment.

I want you to see the color red.

Red is passion and excitement.

Red will always grasp your attention before anything else. It’s that thing, that moment, that object of your immediate desire.

The problem with red:

the longer you envelop yourself with a particular fixation...

...the more you ignore everything else, and the more you let the moment in life pass you by.

everything else fades away.

So...I want you to do something for me, when you look around.

See the thing that caught your attention.

See what you tried to understand and hold on to.

understand that its Hevel.

Then look again. See what you missed. Look a final time.

See what happens when you exist in the moment? Everything blooms in full vibrancy. ;)
