Boosting SEO

Photography websites face a unique challenge in building their SEO quality rankings. This is because our sites aim to be visually appealing, and less wordy. However, there are more ways than one to improve SEO rankings that will still help to draw traffic to these websites, and convert visitors into clients. Here are a few methods:

Keyword Research with Wordstream

The WordStream Keyword tool is an excellent resource for identifying high-potential keywords for photography niches and beyond. Upon using it, a high potential keyword for this site was revealed to be “digital marketing.” Wordstream shows that it has a moderate search volume, low bids and medium competition. Now knowing this, the site can be tailored to meet the needs of its target audience more effectively. Below is a screenshot of our search results:

Implementing Relevance Factors

Below are some strategies we will use to improve our website’s relevance, while staying true to the vision of this site’s design.

  1. URL: Updating our service page’s URL to include our primary keyword will look something like this - https://cuppaminti.com/services-digital-marketing

  2. Title Tag: Our homepage will feature an optimized title with a high-potential keyword in the title tag.

  3. Header Tag: We will incorporate keywords into our header tags, such as “editing service”.

  4. Content: Service descriptions will include phrases such as “expand your digital marketing network”

  5. Alt Text: Adding descriptive alt text to images throughout the site, such as portfolio images, creates an opportunity to incorporate more keywords without clutter. For instance, some of the images in our Vibrancy section were taken in Albany, New York. Because this is also the primary location of our target audience, we will incorporate text relating to Albany in these images’ alt descriptions.

  6. Anchor Text:  Internal links will use relevant anchor text, such as “connect with us to improve your digital marketing strategy”.

Blog Posts

Blog posts are a huge opportunity to boost SEO quality rankings. Here’s why:

1. Fresh Content: Updating our blog regularly lets search engines know that our website is active and relevant. This helps search engines to crawl our site more often, and will help new content to be indexed faster.

2. Long Form Content: We can incorporate keywords naturally into our blog posts with the topics that we cover. This helps with SEO and provides valuable information for readers.

3. Internal linking: We can use more internal linking to help users find relevant service pages, helping users further with navigation. It also increases the time that users will spend on our site.

4. Multimedia Integration: Using images with our blog posts both showcases our work and helps to engage users. These images, as stated earlier, can also be optimized with alt text and captions.

5. External links: Being linked to credible sources also helps us to appear more credible. This helps our site to build positive relationships with other websites in our niche.
